Tech Loop snagged a photo of this historic event, just because nobody would believe it without photo evidence. The photo that you see below was taken at the Speedway on the corner of Roscoe and Damen. Sure, it's only $.001 below two bucks, but we're just excited because we can't remember the last time we saw a 1 on a Chicago gas station sign. This is big news for the city that has consistently held the coveted honor of having the nation's highest gas prices.

So what took so long to find this out.
We have HAD gas under $2.00 for some time know on the SOuth Side (the lowest is $1.71 right now).
